Kelly Nunemaker, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Bio

Kelly Nunemaker, DNP, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Diabetes and Metabolism Specialists. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community College before moving to San Antonio, where she completed both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of the Incarnate Word.

 

Kelly began her career in family practice before transitioning to endocrinology in 2020, where she developed a strong focus on diabetes, thyroid disease, and other hormonal and metabolic conditions. She is passionate about patient-centered care and helping individuals feel confident in managing their health.

 

In addition to her clinical work, Kelly teaches undergraduate nursing students as adjunct faculty at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Nursing. Outside of medicine, she enjoys life with her husband, a retired U.S. Army veteran, and their five daughters.
